For Immediate Press Release: Active Virus COVID-19 Tests for Law Enforcement, Schools and Hospitals are now available through Arrowhead Forensics

On Friday July 31st, 2020 the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized Clinical Reference Laboratory (CRL) to offer their unique COVID-19 Saliva test to market. CRL is one of the largest private labs in the United States and can currently process 20,000 tests per day.

Arrowhead Forensics is an approved Channel Partner to offer the At-Home COVID-19 tests to First Responders, Schools, Hospitals and Corporations.

"We are thrilled to offer this convenient, comfortable test to our customer base. We don't think our customers should have to use an uncomfortable nasal swab and wait 2 weeks to receive their test results," said Arrowhead Forensics VP of Sales Brad Brown.

Each test is about $175 and ships FedEx Air directly to the customer. The simple Saliva test can be comfortably taken at home or work, then placed in the mail in a pre-paid FedEx Air mailer. Results are delivered within 1-2 business days via text and email.

In CRL conducted studies of paired samples required for the FDA Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), the CRL Rapid Response™ test had 100% sensitivity and specificity (higher than any other saliva-based COVID-19 molecular diagnostic test) — accurately detecting the presence or absence of the virus in known COVID-19 positive and negative patients as compared to only 55% detection using anterior nasal swabs, the common method of self-collection.

"Experts agree that testing is the key to getting America back to work, but concerns about reliability and availability of testing are an impediment for many states, cities and businesses as they consider their re-opening plans," said CRL CEO Robert Thompson.

Individuals will have the option to speak to a licensed physician about their results.
